A fine writing instrument is similar to a fine watch or piece of jewelry…. something you'll want to show off and pass down for generations. Your latest smartwatch or phone will be replaced in 18-24 months, but fine writing instruments can be cherished for many years to come.
When thinking about the best luxury pen, know that there are different types of pens out there. For many, the most luxurious pen is the fountain pen. It makes use of a metal nib, often made of either sterling silver or gold. The fountain pen is the ultimate and most luxurious writing instrument of choice but many fine writing instruments also come as ballpoint or rollerblade pens. The ballpoint pen is easy to use, dries quickly, writes smoothly and lasts a long time. The rollerblade pen writes darkly and doesn't require much pressure.

At Windsor Jewelers we carry some of the finest luxury pens from Visconti, Montblanc and Montegrappa.

All Visconti pens are produced in Florence, Italy. Most models pay homage to inspiring artisans including Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Michelangelo. Visconti creations reflect the care, time, craftsmanship and passion often displayed in the works of these masters.
If you appreciate the artistic genius of Van Gogh, you'll definitely appreciate the painstaking reproduction work put into the Visconti Impressionist Van Gogh Pen with a gift box also emblazoned with the famous painting. This pen allows you to show off your good taste as well as being an excellent conversation piece.

Montblanc has been synonymous with exquisite writing instruments for over 100 years. Its uncompromising quality and traditional craftsmanship are reflected in all of its products. There's an envied history to many aspects of Montblanc pen: the classic shape of the barrel and clip, the trim rings, the engraved nib, and the white Montblanc star. Holding a Montblanc pen in hand for the first time or getting your first Montblanc is always a unique experience.

Shown here, the James Dean Special Edition by Montblanc honors the actor and his most celebrated film, "Rebel Without a Cause". The overall shape of this writing instrument is inspired by the switchblade James Dean used in the film. The cap in precious wood is also inspired by this same scene. The pattern on the Ag 925 sterling silver barrel takes its inspiration from the engine engraving on his favorite sports car, while his famous quote, "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.",  is also engraved onto the barrel. This edition is limited to 1,931 pieces in reference to the year of his birth.

I've highlighted just a couple of the many luxury pens and brands we have in store. The world of luxury pens is truly diverse, and searching for the right one can seem daunting at first. Let us show you the different styles that we carry and tell you about the different features, helping you choose the best pen for you!
